Yet another week has passed where I was horrible with comments. I also had a hard time coming up with a story for this week’s prompt. What can I say? I was distracted. But since my country’s football/soccer team was kicked out of the European cup by our french friends last night, I’ll hopefull get my head free for more important things again. Things like the Friday Fictioneers, for instance.
As every week, we got a prompt for the Friday Fictioneers, graciously provided by our Fairy Blog Mother Rochelle Wisoff-Fields. There’ve been reruns of old prompts for a few weeks now, which is a nice break for the ‘founder-fictioneers’ because they can re-post their old stories. Newcomers like me get an interesting glimpse into the Friday Fictioneers’ past. The reason for the reruns is Rochelle’s third book, As One Must, One Can, which has a deadline in July.
The task is to write a story: beginning, middle, and end, in 100 words or less. You can find all the Fictioneers’ stories when you click on the Froggy. Please read, comment, and if you like, join the fun. Everyone is welcome.

Week 18 has arrived, so has May, and so has another of Cee’s Share Your World challenges.
Who was your best friend in elementary school?
A girl from the neighbourhood. She was a good friend throughout our school years, but later we lost touch. I’m still in touch with another childhood friend, but we didn’t go to school together. I never really was into the ‘best friend’ thing.

I’m late again, week 17 is almost over, so let’s hurry over to Cee’s Share Your World challenge.
When writing by hand do you prefer to use a pencil or pen?
Pencils are for drawing. 🙂 I love to use fountain pens, but will make do with an ordinary ball pen. I really like Parker pens, they agree with my chicken-scratch quite well, don’t smear and feel nice.

I’m late, week 16 is almost over, so quickly, we’re jumping right into Cee’s Share Your World challenge.
If you had to have your vision corrected would you rather: glasses or contacts? Or what do you use if you need to have your vision corrected?
When I was a kid and it was found out that I was shortsighted, I had to wear one of these cheap, ugly, old-fashioned type of glasses that have become fashionable again a while ago. I hated it. Although I later got a bit more modern frames, I couldn’t wait until I earned my own money and get contacts. I wore them for many years, but then I got an eye infection and after that they just didn’t agree with me any longer. So it’s back to glasses, but that’s not such a drama any more compared to what it was when I was a teen. Back then, where I lived, wearing glasses, especially for girls, was a very bad thing.

No intro this week, no weather talk, we’re jumping right into Cee’s Share Your World challenge.
Name one thing not many people know about you. Continue reading “Share Your World – 2016 Week 15”
My days off work are over, back to the grind. 😦
It’s really warm now, which is nice. I don’t have more to tell, so off we go to week 14 of Cee’s Share Your World challenge.
If you could hire someone to help you, would it be with cleaning, cooking, or yard work?
And where’s the Butler? I take it all: cook, house keeper, gardener, thank you kindly. 😀 Continue reading “Share Your World – 2016 Week 14”
Hah, how’s this? This week I’m early. And since I only posted last week’s post yesterday, I don’t have much to tell.
Easter monday being a holiday where I live, we’ve had a lovely walk with the dog today, in the forest, a bit away from our usual dog-walking area. The weather is more April than anything here now. And here we go, week 13 of Cee’s Share Your World challenge . Continue reading “Share Your World – 2016 Week 13”
Happy Easter everyone who celebrates. Happy spring festival, or just a good time looking forward to warm days with flowers and fresh greenery to everyone else.
I have a few days off, but that doesn’t make me any less busy. I’m using the time to try out some recipes for dog treats (Maia is nicely relaxed now, we need to do a bit more training). I made soft liver treats that can be cut into tiny pieces, and she likes them very much. I made a quiche with kale for Easter, a braided yeast bread thing which has become a bit of a tradition for holidays (I have a good recipe, it always works out great, thus it is fun to make). And so, stuffed with yummy food, I’m late for Cee’s Share Your World challenge again. Continue reading “Share Your World – 2016 Week 12”
Another week and the same old, same old as usual.
This morning I woke up and wondered about the brightness outside. Don’t you know it? Snow… as if there wasn’t all winter for that. Now we want spring, and what do we get?

It’s cold-ish. I want spring now. But if the last few years are any indication, it will be like this: a grey, too warm winter. A cold spell in early spring, after the plants start to shoot, then maybe two days of spring-like weather. After that heat and drought until summer. And then rain…
Enough weather talk, it gets old. Onwards to Cee’s Share Your World challenge . Continue reading “Share Your World – 2016 Week 9”
